The worst part is that it's not that the site does not support spreads. I just tried all the languages in the site. Except for English (and Russian which does not have one piece available it seems), every other language displays spreads just fine (using the vertical layout).

So... the English team is lazy or maybe they don't know how to do spreads?

It's even weirder. There ARE english double spreads on some series. Hokkaido gals has them for example. I really don't know why that page splitting is still a thing when scanlation sites could do this 20 years ago.
