The parallels made between Scopper and Sanji is interesting.

Scopper is a man who believes in free love and had tried to reign Roger's eccentrities in, but mostly failing. However he is strong enough and trusted enough by Roger to be considered his left hand (Rayleigh obviously being the right hand). Scopper would go on to protect Roger from hundreds of pirates.

Sanji on the other hand, also believes in free love when it comes to women, and is one of the main strawhats to reign in Luffy's eccentrities, having some success due to his cooking. He's strong enough and trusted enough to be considered one of Luffy's wings (along with Zoro). Sanji also staked his life on protecting Luffy from the Big Mom pirates after Luffy defeated Katakuri.

All in all, great chapter. I'm guessing Scopper is around the same strength as Rayleigh, so it'll be interesting to see Luffy's capabilities against an elite of the Roger's Pirates (even if they're no longer in their prime).

He reminds me of the venerable wisdom of Discworld's Lu-Tze Rule one: "Do not act incautiously when confronting little bald wrinkly smiling men!"

So, we've met Rogers, his two top lieutenants, his shipwright, his doctor, his scholar, and the cabin boys. I wonder who else will appear.
