Well, I was right that Gunko would've tried to make Brooks into a personal slave for herself.

That said, I'm surprised that the God Knights don't want to fight against Luffy, or at least not make an enemy of him yet. I mean, they literally have almost half of his crew held hostage. Incredibly enough, they didn't even announce the captured of his crew either. I mean I get Luffy's an emperor and also Nika's incarnation, but still, I guess I didn't expect it to carry that much weight with the Celestial Dragon's God Knights.

Honestly, I kind of want to call these guys smart and careful, but I'll hold off since future chapters could change that in a heartbeat.

All in all, looking forward to the next chapter.

the key to getting sick Brook moments is to apparently put him up against a woman who is Way Stronger than him lol, loved the bit where he refused to serve Gunko

hope we don't cut away from Robin and Gaban stepping into the fight next chapter, that's such a fun mix to see in action for so many reasons!!

Huh, I didn't expect the "Emperor" title of Luffy to actually worth something, but I apparently I was wrong, they actually don't want to risk fighting an "Emperor".

I was kinda expecting this kidnapping event to be resolved one way or the other pretty quickly, but if we got a map on everyone's positioning (minus Luffy and co.) then this might be a prolonged battle, pretty exciting!

I think its less Luffy being an emporer and more Luffy being Nika that makes them think twice to fight him. Remember when Sommers asked what Gunko's scared of the most and she said Nika.

I'm honestly starting to get a bit overwhelmed in this arc already, having a hard time following along. There are so many new characters, so much going on and the dialogue feels so oddly paced for some reason, more so than usual for One Piece.
