I loved the cover image: It helps me think that Ida knew that Loki saw her as his Mother, and they both tried to do things for the other, but kept it secret due to Loki's Tsundere personality towards Ida. All in all, it's almost criminal that they didn't get to spend the time they had together... Or that Ida didn't get to see Loki and Hajrudin reconcile...

Also... I shouldn't have... But I let out a chuckle at Brook mentioning changing diapers.

That said, I really don't know how the Celestial Dragons, and by extension the World Government, do it. Every chapter just makes them all the more terrible and irredeemable than the last... Not to mention incredibly stupid...

Imu here is bragging about how Elbaph was bested because Giants' children were taken hostage... and saying that by repeating that, he would enslave them. But if it's that simple... to the point where Imu both witnessed it and is aware of it... why did it take him so long to do it again.

Heck, even Mother Caramel was doing a better job at getting closer to the Giants in comparison to Imu, which is bad since he already had Harald as the perfect link to Elbaph. At this point, I can't help but think that hubris will be more than Imu's downfall. Especially since he feels the need to gloat despite not actually winning...

truly a testament to Shuri's heart and Brook's training that she was able to put an entire sword through his head without damaging anything important, what a thing to go through though. Still hoping for Shuri's POV on things later but this was a fun/painful backstory for its length, hope it isn't a pain taking care of that ice lol

also wonder just what those eyes mean if it's apparently important enough for Imu to keep Shuri/Gunko immortal for decades

Brook mentions after the flashback that he didn't even know what a devil fruit was at the time, he probably didn't eat his until after the kingdom fell. Also as far as we know, his fruit only allows him to revive from death once, so he used it up when he was poisoned as a pirate

Not knowing what a DF is, doesn't mean he couldn't eat it before. Also how do we know it only revives him from death once? There's no way to know that for sure, right?

I guess, but what possible purpose would it serve the story to have Brook, the one narrating the flashback to us and the crew, omit that he already had his devil fruit ability and that it saved his life in that situation?

And on a story level, I personally find it way more satisfying if Shuri's been trying to keep Brook in mind not just in the present with her still listening to his music, but ever since she was first brainwashed, so I certainly hope it was that Shuri held back when she stabbed him rather than Brook already having his devil fruit ability lol

I'm not saying my version is better. I also would like it the way you described it. It was just the way I interpretated it at first because the whole "Your injury missed any vital points" sounds weird when it pierced right through his head XD Like how is that possible, even with a clean hit?
