I'm not sure really. Ahri has similarities to the mc and the others have similarities to their counterparts but I don't know if that is for a reason or not.

This story makes my head spin... The time travel / alternate reality / memory manipulation / flashbacks do not help. I'm still not convinced that the author didn't just mess up the story boarding at some point and just retconned everything as an alternate reality to make it all seem intentional.
