@QSS Am I praising this comic too much? I definitely am. It's just that it is a good, maybe even very good work, at least from an artistic point of view, so I find it not appropriate that it has such low ratings just because people think it is a propaganda funded by the Chinese government, so I praise it, partially because I actually really like it and partially because I want to counter those negative responses.
As for this story being overly positive, isn't this a common practice to try and bring hope in times of uncertainty or despair? I never had the opportunity to talk with a dying person, but according to what is shown in all of those American movies, Japanese anime/manga and all of the other media, it is normal and recommended to say things like "everything will be alright" even when the situation is truly hopeless. So yeah, the agenda of "don't go rioting on us" is most likely there, but it's really just a part of the perfectly normal "everything will be alright" agenda.
Am I paid by the Chinese government to say those things? I wish I was. I spend way too much time writing those things : ) But then I wouldn't be able to say things like: CCP is sh*t. I do think CCP is sh*t, but I also do think this story is very educational, and I do think "we should do our best with the situation we have!".
