"The cursed Kamite clan." That's the significant bit.

Granted that mostly it's just been framing for all of these admirably detailed stripping scenes, there has been a mystery in the background all along, and most notably surrounding the childhood friend. She's seemed at various times to be against Kamite and on his side.

But the idea all along was that Kamite was fighting this curse, and carrying on a family tradition in doing so.

But if he and his family  are cursed...
