There’s enough info so far to make an educated guess that Sera admired Sayuki when she either saw her on TV or at the studio itself when Sera was a child actress on a cooking variety show - either because Sera was good in her role or because Sayuki at that point thought she could half-heartedly get by on being cute and was proven wrong or both.
Since then Sera became Sayuki’s fan and in the decade(s) since has gone from being her admirer to fan to number one fan to a yandere.

Meanwhile Sayuki’s been struggling in the industry but keeping her head just above water trying to get roles based on talent rather than using her old connections and trying to separate herself from her past as a child actress/tv personality. What’s been keeping her going is trying to prove she’s better than this number one idol who’s shown up in her life - all while unaware she’s both being stalked and being supported by that idol.

It also seems like she got this role because Sera name dropped her on TV and said she has good taste in food.

All of the above is basically stating the obvious, but I wanted to put my current thoughts somewhere and see if they hold up in the future when we have more chapters.

It's so weirdly cute how frank Sayuki is about pretty much anything. She's fantastic.
But also, the more we learn about Sayuki, the more I realise how we know literally nothing about Sera other than the fact that she likes her. Very much looking forward to that Sera POV chapter.

Thank you for the chapter, I like how Sera just resorts to gaslighting Sayuki now whenever she is caught stalking/tailing her even though its quite clear Sayuki doesn't see her until she makes her presence known. I also loved the panel where Sera seems to look at the reader as Sayuki is ranting regarding her interests, favorite beverage, and how she enjoys the attention that Sera gives her. Sera is the stalker/yandere idol MC Sayuki deserves.
