Part of my headcannon has it that Mihari got her formula from a similar one developed by her dad. You see, in my horrible, horrible brain, I imagine that Papa Oyama is an even crazier scientist than Mihari, and that he changed Mahiro's gender from girl to boy in the womb so that his first born would be a son.
Of course, if that were to happen, Oyamama wouldn't know, and if she did find out, she'd be furious.
But then again, that's just me.
