This author is slightly frustrating to me if I'm going to be perfectly honest. Subverting the personalities of the Onimai characters only works if you have them be in character first. "Haha I'm going to rail Mahiro FROOSH" without much other context only works as a punchline so many times. At this point that well is drier than a Christian fundamentalist TERF's... not finishing that sentence. See? It's in theory possible not to go for the obvious obscene punchline.
