I think of the "obvious" pairings, Asahi and Miyo just end up the leftovers.

• Momiji X Mahiro is the one the main manga seems to be swinging for, as is this doujin
• Mihari X Kaede is one I feel the main manga has hinted at, and this doujin definitely swings for
• "Nayuta X Chitose" is not so much a ship, but I feel like a bit of Nayuta-to-Chitose sis-con thing. I doubt it's a ship that'd sail and personally I wouldn't want it to, but I think being a loyal sister and assistant to Chitose is probably Nayuta's priority, and overprotectiveness of Nayuta plus science is Chitose's priority over romance for either of them
• The Boys is honestly a ship I could see sailing if the main manga author feels feisty... either by full on trans-ing the one that's crossdressed, or just having it as a straight boys love or crossdressing boy's love ship. If the main manga doesn't, I could see this doujin doing it. Either of them getting Mahiro like both mangas occassionally tease at seems unlikely.
• Which sort of just leaves Asahi X Miyo as a natural remaining pair, but I do think it's a fun plot idea to do what this doujin kind of started hinting the Asahi x Miyo ship on - Miyo indulging in the yuri-delusions when she watches Asahi getting touchy-feely with girls, only to eventually realise she's started looking at Asahi as her focus instead of the yuri-antics Asahi enables. The alternative to this is as you said, Asahi X Asahi-bro, but I can't see them doing this one, partially just because going full incest with it would be a bit over the line, but I think mainly just because if NOT Asahi X Miyo, that just leaves Miyo out in the cold, and I can't see either the main manga or doujin leaving one of the core characters out like that. Oh, also both main and doujin seem to be "everyone in this manga is gay" stories, so even if the incest angle wasn't a bother with Asahi X Bro, the fact it'd be an unambiguously straight ship probably sinks it

Miyo‘s whole thing is that she’s the one who watches, it would be a wasted opportunity for her to develop if she stays that way.
