A thing that's been slightly bothering me is how old Mahiro seems to be versus how old he acts to be. It was shown that Mahiro and Mihari were in middle school at the same time which means at most, he's two years older than Mihari. Mihari and Kaede were in the same grade until Mihari was catapulted into college. Kaede is still in high school so she's 18 years old max, which similarly means Mihari is also 18 at the oldest. If Mihari and Mahiro were attending the same middle school at the same time, that means Mahiro can't be much older than 20. But Mahiro is constantly talking like he's 30 to these kids that are 12.

All that to say: Mahiro isn't THAT much older than the middle schoolers he's currently hanging out with.

7 years age gap. Dont forget that from ps 4 to ps 5 only needed 4 years... So mahiro might started at ps 3 era, while they started at ps 5 era.

If you have a younger cousin or nephew/niece, it's really obvious the moment you even talk to them.

My youngest sister is six years younger than I am. We don't live in other worlds and never did. I guess the difference is more pronounced at a younger age, but Mahiro really talks like he's 15-20 years older than the middle schoolers.

Man, I love FFXI even to this day. Even more than FFXIV lol. It has a better world, music, characters, etc to me. Gameplay Is better in FFXIV for sure though being newer.
