@Buffalosauce I agree. One of the great frustrations is this dumb idea authors have that the "chase"
is the story and that there's nothing to do once they're a couple. If you've done your job and made likable characters with entertainment value outside of their desire for a relationship with each other then making them a couple can just be the beginning as it opens up a whole new world of fun stuff and scenarios.
But writing enjoyable couple stuff without manufactured drama or tension is harder, so most of them just build and build and build to the big moment then go "that's it! Mission accomplished! We're done here!" because it's simpler to start fresh and do the same thing over again on a new story.
