I'm pretty sure his heart won't be broken right away if he finds out his master is the Demon Lord, but he's definitely gonna be confused about everything. He might even get mad and ask her why she does evil things or how nursing him back to health is part of her dastardly schemes, but I think he's actually too young to feel the acute pain of betrayal without actually being stabbed in the back.

He might actually be more likely to stick with her if he finds out. How can the Demon Lord do evil if the Hero's always there to stop her wicked plans (by playing with her until they fall asleep and such)?

The way I try to avoid this problem is by keeping bubble space less than 50-75% filled. I also think it takes away from the art when it's too big. Not sure if that helps.
