It is absolutely beautiful but the choice of the boy to completely forsake his mother raising him was not wolf like. It was a dick move.

I agree! It was a very touching story but the son's farewell was too rushed and didn't seem too thought out. Like at least agree to leave a peach every year for your mom; or had an actual convo about your call to nature.
