As someone with long legs myself, I've never understood why people thing long legs equals fast. I'm usually slow compared to everyone else...

@icekatze Generally longer legs mean that your stride (the length between your steps) is generally longer than people who are shorter. It doesn't mean that you'll be "Faster" as people walk at different paces but it can be an advantage in running if you train.

@icekatze Really? I have long ass legs and I always have to slow my pace to match people I'm walking with. The only people I've walked with that I didn't have to slow down for are my brother and best friend, because even though they're both about 4 inches shorter, their legs are the same length as mine

Hahaha. I know that feel. I always end up walking ahead of everyone.

Ended up tasting my own medicine though. My little sister and I have 12 years of difference, so my little sister grew up having to walk like twice as fast to match everyone's much longer strides. As she grew up her stride got longer and her pace stayed the same, so now the rest of us gotta power walk just to keep up with her.

Seems more like they made an excuse so she could be with her (boy)friend, considering the panel where both girls look at each other.

Huh, maybe I just unconsciously got used to walking slowly. I wasn't very good at track either, but whether it's cause I didn't train very hard or there's something else weird about my legs, I guess I might never know.
