Sometimes I have seen new inexperienced translators releasing chapters (or even sniping a series sometimes) asking for feedback about their work on the comments.

I thought It would be nice to have a option to mark those kind of chapters as "to be reviewed" or something when they upload and have an opt in option for the readers to see these kind of chapters, this way the community can properly give feedback and suggestions to the translators instead of having a mix of honest feedback and angry comments.

This would be helpful for both the translators who are honestly trying to receive improve their abilities and the readers who get triggered because of unexpected low quality releases in their favorite series.

I honestly can't see even single reason why some random mark would prevent "angry comments" :/

Honestly these types of people should get all the low quality shit. Why would you even get mad at someone over trying out something new?

As for the whole suggestion seems like a pain and honestly not that many people care enough to offer advice for this to be viable. -1

Just because some comments are angry and blunt doesn't mean they're not honest.
Sure, maybe not the most constructive way to deliver criticism, but it's still valid feedback.
(Excluding instances of excessive vitriol which definitely isn't called for, such as, "
Go kill yourself and never scanlate again.
")
I'm beginning to wonder if some of these suggestions are actually A Modest Proposal-esque satires.

This is what recruiting if is for go join a group for a chapter or two and see how well you do at it. No there are the bastards who mindlessly just butcher it via google translate and grammerly and lack any understanding of Asian languages those are the people who we tell not to scanlate Again. I mean when people can literally take any sentence and pick out multiple clear grammar errors is when comments get angry. But there is a good intention here and I would like to see people improve

so Here is a +1

@BzzBzz sorry I'm not a native English speaker and I think I choose the wrong word for this but what I mean is that this "mark" would hide the chapter from the readers and only show it to people who actively opt in to see them.

@sterven as a web developer myself I think this would be a fairly easy feature to implement, as for if people would really help each other out or not, well... honestly I'm a little skeptical too, but its nice to have some hope.

@justforthelulz yes, I too have given blunt comments (sometimes a little too mean) so when I say "angry comments" I do mean those excessive ones. I do appreciate the effort the translators put into translating even if it is low quality or MTL, because at the end of the day they are doing it for free. (not including the trolls who are just doing it for the hate of course)

@immortalartisan well, trolls are gonna be trolls, nothing we can do about it... but look at it this way, if MD has an option to hide these chapters we will know when they're just trolling

i'm not sure how many this would actually block out. I would think many would like go the settings and turn it on simply so they can see all the stories available. I am guessing many of those getting triggered actually kind enjoy getting mad and would definitely show them.

We've had similar-ish suggestions floated around in the past. While it would be nice for there to be a service like that, MangaDex is a platform for releasing scanlations, not project management. If a group or uploader wants quality control for their releases, I'd suggest recruiting someone.
