i'd also like to thank you for your work on the translations, they felt really well-written! i paused a few times in earlier chapters to appreciate how well the dialogue flowed :,-)

i guess he was talking about how in an age of diversity of thought, we come to passively accept "that's just how it is" about topics we aren't familiar with or things that are different from ours? it's interesting how he thinks taking freedom to an extreme would converge back to the same issue as the current religious oppression. it's also wild to me there's only one chapter left haha, i'll def come back to reread !!
