Not really... Like the other person said to your comment. History is written by the survivors. Just look at WW2 and all the bulshit that was told by the German command that survived. Till this day people believe that the German military was so modern and mechanized, and in reality most was not. Or that they did nothing wrong. All of the problems and why they lost was hitler and the other people that died and they were amazing.

Sure a part of it is writen by the victors but a LOT of it is just made up by other people to make them look better.
