Hey, props to the FL for leaving the party to go with the MC; the initial party leader is a creeptatstic asshole, and she didn't just whimper and accept his bullshit, so... a nice change of trope for something this generic.
It must have sounded something like:
"So, the Main Character thinks he is respected in the party, but the leader says he's trash and kicks him out..."
"Yeah...?"
"And the party leader is complete trash..."
"Uh huh...?
"And he says that the main character's skill is useless, right?"
"Okay...?"
"But, it turns out that his skill isn't useless!"
"Aaaand...?"
