Nakatani is pretty interesting because of his numbness to everything. He just kind of exists, I don't feel he has any loyalty to the empire or his classmates and is only helping the demons because of Melia. I wonder if he'll question his loyalty or his morals once he learns the full story about the demons and empire

In a world like that, stuff like art are the last things a culture would concern about developing.

this elf is both smart and reckless, hiding right under the noises of the people who want him dead. i wonder just how many elves are doing the exact same thing.

I wish I could give this series a -1/10 like wtf, MC has no real reaction to 7 classmates dying that he could have prevented. Also the elf hiding his identity is dumb as it could have all gone wrong.

The tone is all over the place just in this chapter and it clashes. Seriously the MC is like "I cant kill someone, I'm not ready" which is funny cause multiple times he could have offed those gunning for his life in a nanosecond cause he wouldnt have had time to think it was instant reaction.

I still firmly believe he should have yeeting half or more of his genociding class the 2nd encounter but no we have to have boring, emotionless, generic MC that probably wouldn't use toilet paper cause it was too confrontational.

Thank you for the chapter! The translation is a bit confusing at times, though. I'm having some trouble understanding a fair amount of it. Regardless though, I'm thankful that this is being translated at all, so thank you!

He wasn't saying he can't kill, the conversation was to convey the current mental state of all the isekai'd kids. He has no experience with death, so, even if he can still fight, having witnessed someone he knows die will weigh on his mind and make him less efficient while fighting. They then extrapolate that to the state of all the kids, having witnessed some of them die and then one of their own killing their own.

Elf dude is using mc's sympathy (literally as in the fact that he's feeling the same thing at the same time as the other students though not as much) to explain that the empire isn't really up for fighting them right now while pointing out that they have too much on their plate to press the empire now.

Not really out of the ordinary, as even historically irl, there is a form of art being developed around during war. It's not as finished and rather rough, almost a shitpost even. Even in the modern era you'll see graffiti work around battlefield or personalization of individuals in an army.
The Elf forces it though prolly the out of the curve part, but it does happen naturally whether the artist intended it or not. until it becomes a contemporary piece of work a few years later.

I'm not so sure about the translations here. It doesn't flow quite right grammatically in parts and others have strange word choices. Although it does have nice image quality and cleaning.

Am I the only one that had trouble reading this?
nah, i'm with you here. i don't mind pacing issues, there's many series where you need to interpret some actions happening inbetween panels, but the translation or wording is really strange in some of these panels and pages.

like the "we're here to play a little game with you", which has no reference whatsoever, unless they consider "playing sick" being part of it.
"the first requirement" should also rather be "first things first", of course i neither know the original raw, nor know how to translate it, so not sure if this would fit better actually
there might be some confusing moments due to that girl likely reading minds and revealing inner thoughts, but it doesn't transfer well for us readers.

i can still guess the gist of the situation, but the context seems to fail with the translation provided here and there.
