I considered using factions too but “factions” of what? “Powers” was off since its used for other things in previous chapters and didnt want to overlap terminologies. So “forces“ is more a generic and simple term, they can be either friendly or hostile.

Not happening any time soon. From what it seems, their priority is more on protecting their friends rather than picking side between the empire or demons. Especially after the empire had tried backstabbing them before.

But not like the class will blindly follow Miyamoto anymore. Like Onizuka said, back then he is dependable, there's benefit for following him. But now, he had failed many time, and can't do anything (such as when Yuuto and Onizuka refuse to follow his demand, or Akane arguing back on him, or when the class don't take his side).
They probably will still stay there because there's no alternative yet, but they're definitely going to be more open about doubting him now.
