Ah I see - I initially assumed this a WN/LN sourced one.

Plot is too unstable, I see no structure in the 78 chapters. Even to date. The only thing consistent is the hero whining, which is 100% an allusion to the editor.

But this brings a question: if Rei is trying to make Nakatani re-unite the skillsets, why did the empire divide them in the first place? Or maybe she's trying lo lay waste to the empire in revenge with the full sets, but why is the empire supporting her then?

I don't think the empire is aware of Rei's activities. This entire hero summoning seems like something she tricked them into doing. It's unclear how many people within the empire are working for Rei, as so far we have only seen chancellor Dennis clearly working for her.

The Empire weakened Rei to the point where they had a chance against her with their full army, but they couldn't kill her as she was still needed as a deterrent against invasion by other nations.

Now that the Empire has to deal with Nakatani's army too, the Empire has no way to stop Rei from doing want she wants.

Whatever plot this story had, it seems to have been cast away in favor of shock twists and introducing useless side characters and storylines. It feels like the main characters have also given up on any convictions and beliefs they had and just exist for the sake of MC getting new abilities. That he doesn't need. Because he's already too OP for anything they throw at him. This story is not just confusing, it's also boring.

I 100% agree with the translator: half the time the author himself hasn't got any idea about what's going to happen in the story, in the future. I do compliment the author on managing to save his skin a couple of times with pretty crafty revelations that somehow turned the witlessness of the past into more or less sensible writing later. But it's still emergency actions, nonetheless, not excellent, consistent writing.
