What can I say that hasn't already been said? This translation is more often than not pretty bad, the bad guys are cartoonishly evil, the Mc is a naive all powerful outcast that fights for the discriminated races, it's all been seen and done. While I'm more or less at piece with the fact themes such as "humans are bastards, demons are the good guys" and "all classmates save one or two are dumb selfish assholes on a power kick" will be used till the heat death of the universe, I can't stomach it is done so poorly like this. While I can't completely fault the Mc for being unwilling to kill former classmates, no matter how shitty they are, he needs a more permanent solution then "beat them up, let em live only for them to do shitty things again". It's damn stupid and damn boring. Also, the art isn't the greatest either, personal opinion. Well, all of that was personal opinions.

rough translation aside I feel like the author didn’t approach the characters as people with thoughts and emotions, but as bland plot devices who’s only purpose is to push the story forward. Most of the characters in this series are about as interesting as a cardboard box and I’ve read up to chapter 26 too.

it's alright, i like the aesthetic of the characters at least... well, the main character and his crew. Their wardrobes are very dark with an almost... i give up explaining. It's just a pretty dark, edgy style and I can get behind that as long as it isn't too much edge. Everyone else is kinda meh.

The main character doesn't think for himself, most of his actions are done under the guiding hand of the female main character. The author attempts to make you believe that it's him acting independently with truly deep thoughts of his own, but the truth is that he obeys her commands like a dog and can barely think for himself when not prompted by the female main character. He didn't learn anything from being stabbed in the back while blindly following orders from the kingdom, he simply switched owners.

That's sort of the crux of the issue with these types of stories. The main character is always so submissive and passive with all of their actions. No killing people, which is very stupid given the world you're now living in. Almost comically evil classmates, the lone exception being the cliche "class beauty" healer. Cliche trope where his job/class is despised as weak or useless, but actually turns out to be an an extremely powerful one, turning him into your average Gary Stu in the span of 4-5 chapters.

I used to hate hearing so much trash talking about isekai manga main characters being submissive, passive little white knights, but as I've gotten older and have much more experience under my belt when it comes to reading isekai manga, I have to admit that 85-90% of them fit that description perfectly, even if they try to portray themselves as otherwise.

making an original design is kind of and giving the MC some personnalities then you creating a damn comedy manga (or just make the MC annoying af)
also pro tip go read manga with an FMC instead those one have more character personnalities

I don't get why people trash the translators. If its that bad 1. don't read 2. do it yourself. Even if its a crappy mtl translation, at least people who can only read English have an option. Else it just becomes a literal picture book. At least be useful and point out major/minor inconsistencies so readers know what's going on and why you're bitching.

Love this manga
We have: generic good looking hero that the author is jealous of.
The author's school bully with a mohawk and the classic sociopathic gaze.
The generic girls the author paints as the hero's fangirls because that's what the author saw women as.
And a pathetic self insert of a mentally weak guy, who's only hope in life is divine intervention.
9/10 if you are edgy and can relate to "labeling yourself as worthless for no reason"
2/10 otherwise, has alot of chapters to waste time on

Where you basically have the Nakatani and his opponent duelling in a super saiyan light burst match on and on for many chapters. It’s like shonen battle final battle arc where the author still can’t let go.

Y'know, the more I read through this, the more it becomes those generic revenge Isekai mangas. Premise was great, characters were great, but do we really have to include harem? Like, I know it's a common troupe, but at least author could've made it less obvious and not like, consists of more than 3 women. I swear, every time a new pretty girl is introduced, it's either author sexualize them or straight up let the mc grope their boobs. It's getting tiring. It's to a point where I'm actually waiting for the development of the guy classmates who are not overpowered as fuck.
