Ok... this granny is all kinds of sus. Not just that she is apparently an adventurers guild master, a high level semi-retired adventurer, but also starting to wonder if she is even a woman. I've only got circumstantial evidence for the gender switch, but something about the clothing just feels off.

Not that her being female or not makes much of a difference, she just gives me the vibes of an older Okama. But yeah, retired adventurer and guild master, in overly fancy clothing and heavy makeup sounds like it would tickle some mangaka's twisted Japanese sensibilities.

I'm thinking the same. It feels like it's trying to emulate real world stereotypes, or prejudices in general, where an overpoweringly loud minority gets all the attention because the quiet majority are just (relatively, in this case) normal folk living their lives.
