Instead we get the classic good guy getting a trash skill which turns out to be OP, but no Isekai at least

I’m pretty excited for this, the premise seems generic fantasy so far but the MC, both design and personality wise is a step above most others because he, well, has one. The art is also great and I can smell a hint of actual world building. If only it had something other than a system, but we‘ll see how things go from here.

90% percent of those "useless skill is actually the strongest" stories would be solved if someone simply had just tried it out properly before getting kicked out. Like, you get a skill that nobody has ever heard of before and your first instinct isn't to use it as soon as possible? Are you even human?

Also, status manipulation and appraisal coming as a set with this unlocker job isn't that weird, and item box is already a bit of a stretch, but still good enough. But him automatically getting some ultimate ice magic from the beginning is just completely with no rhyme or reason, no?

So it isn't that his skill opens a locked part of his status screen (another cliche I absolutely hate), but it's that he and he alone has been gifted the status screen... and that status screen is called... 'Unlocker'?...
That's Dumb.

Even if I take it as him 'unlocking' the status screen, why doesn't he have to focus on it first before unlocking it? Why not just give him the skill 'Status Screen'? Probably because it'd be too close to any other bog standard fantasy series with a guild, skills, levels, and adventurers.

Anyway, I love reading trash, so I'll continue with this, but it's a very uninspired opening.
