@chiquit0_3107

Pg 16 first panel, shouldn't it be something like:
"If you succeed, Shiori will do the fox dances"
(Haven't seen the raw, but based on a translation on another language. Also more fitting because of what follows)

Page 22 third panel, I'm pretty sure her name is Suzurikawa.
Thanks for bringing it up, I've just corrected it.

This is it. I was hoping for something dark and not some shitty rom-com since there's a PSYCHOLOGICAL tag in it. The MC is a FU***** jackass, a COMPLETE IDIOT.
I'M SERIOUSLY DROPPING THIS SHIT FOR GOOD.

...he got over all those traumas in about 1 week of highschool? this shit is so ass
Naa he still has the tramas this is just a bit of the healing process.

Mc always thought he was HATED and what’s going on here is he realized that he isn’t hated that’s literally it.

What he is doing now is just going around with his new found freedom (he always avoided things that the girls were part of as he thought they hated him and would become uncomfortable around him which ironically they were uncomfortable but not because they hated him).

I really want to see how they adapt the school expulsion arc and seeing the perpetrator's face when they fail

I remember this one. The girls from that story are horrible people (except for the FMC) even the stepmother deserves to be hated.

The ending was good and deserved but I don't think it was that in depth. It really feels like they want you to push the MC and FMC together while hating the other characters without giving them a chance.

I think the characters from Ore ni Trauma, at least give you a reason to forgive them (if you wanted to) and not be biased against them.
I look forward more to the elementary school bullying arc. I suspect the manga will only last that long.

If I remember correctly the story becomes quite similar to what Makeine does - every girl who ‘cursed’ him becomes a losing heroine. I really hope Goddess senpai wins though :02:

I feel like he's forgiven these girls a little too easily.
He doesn’t resent them or anything. He’s been pretty consistent throughout in internalizing the blame for the trauma in which he has gone through. I don’t see why he couldn’t begin to accept them again, even if his internal conflict remains unresolved.

Thanks for translating. Also it's 100% fine if you don't spend every single waking moment on translating. No pressure, but I will go for pitchforks if this manga gets abandoned again.

I'll be real, this sudden improvement is actually kinda worrying. I know it probably won't go this route, but it's not out of the question that he might be suicidal. I know the timing of it is a bit off, but apparently one of the warning signs that someone may be planning to kill themselves is a sudden, unexpected, notable uplift in their mood. IIRC, the reasoning is either something along the lines of them finally coming out of an extremely low point and deciding to make sure they can never feel that way again, or the cause and effect can be flipped and the person is unusually cheerful because they've finally made up their mind and have a concrete plan to "solve" their problems (to be clear, I mean that they have a specific plan to end their lives).

Again, I don't think this is going to go that route, but it's the first thing that came to mind when I saw this rather abrupt shift in tone. Especially since we've seen him think about "disappearing" before (he even implied to his sister over the phone that one time that he'd off himself once he graduates high school), including right before this sudden tone shift.

On a lighter note, does anyone know of some other mangas similar to this one? I fucking love this type of mixture of guilt/regret-based angst, traumatized MCs, and themes of betrayal and heartbreak; and this manga hits just the right balance between "oh wow, this is fucked" and "not outright depressing" for my taste. The angst isn't quite as fun without a seed of hope (still pretty fun though, ngl), but at the same time it's not nearly as fun if those at fault are quickly forgiven (which this manga has been good at avoiding so far, though I'm a bit nervous about the new development) and all the pain is put behind them. It's more enjoyable to read when the guilt continues to gnaw at them during the healing process.

I know that probably makes me sound a bit fucked in the head (or at least probably a bit sadistic), but honestly I read so many fluffy, lighthearted romances and comedies (I'm genuinely a sucker for a good romance, like just inject that shit intravenously), but my desire for appropriately tempered angst often goes unfulfilled (especially since a lot of the romances, comedies, and trashy isekais I read have these wonderful initial premises with immense potential for angst, or deep themes of regret and remorse, and then they all but discard that after the first few chapters).

It’s because it was serialized aka tampered by an editor that the edgy, broken but consistent mc from the webnovel is reduced to this inconsistent and goofy mc so that it would appeal to a wider audience.
I don't know what yall read there on them books n stuff but I sure do prefer and like this MC or which whatever iteration he is
