She feels like she should have done something more to stop the accusations and bullying in elementary school, even though she wasn't in a position as a class aide to actually pull that off. There's more guilt in her mind than in reality.
not really
If anything, it was her fault, the main teacher was more at fault for what happened, but this one also didn't believe in him and made false accusations against him, she deserves to feel guilty about it.

Who is this woman?
Also everyone in this comment section are down BAD LMFAO
Well if you want spoilers
She was the teacher aide to him during an incident where a kid stole something from her and it was found on the MC's school desk. So she and the main teacher did a whole show of publicly confronting him, expecting him to confess and to serve this as a lesson and everyone could be friends afterward. But he denied the allegations because he didn't do it.
This basically led to him getting bullied, the teachers knew it was happening but didn't know how to stop it, they still believed he did it and they just hoped that if he confessed the bullying would stop. The bullying escalated, and eventually, he found out that he actually had a solid alibi, he tried to explain that to the teachers but they didn't want to hear about it and the main teacher was so stressed that she even slapped him, by the time they calmed down and confirmed that his alibi was actually real, the MC had already manufactured a situation where the rest of the kid would beat him up and as soon as the teachers returned the MC fought back, beat the hell out of the bullies, had the principal involved and confirmed who the real culprit was.
When the mother was informed about what occurred, she for a second believed the allegations (quickly got admonished by MC's sister) but it was too late as the MC knew he couldn't trust her. And the childhood friend his only ally during this whole event (she was in a different class tho), so it makes the event at the start of the series when she rejects him even sadder as she was really his only friend, so he ended up truly alone after that.

Actually they not only could not stop the bullying, they started it and escaleted it because of their obsession to make Yukito to accept a crime he didn´t commit. She tried to apologize with a letter but Yukito just ignored her becaue to him she was an enemy and was exactly what got her traumatize of been in front of children.

This is actually closer to reality in a lot of cases than you may expect. A lot of seriously depressed people mask VERY well.
There's most likely brain damage, too, so we shouldn't expect "normal".
