Took them this long to figure out something as basic as the fact that he never called anyone by name?

This entire party is pretty much brain dead huh? Slad included of course.

I get that this is all basic setup to showcase how much of a scum the Hero is and how satisfying it should be to beat him up. But it really goes straight into such cartoony level of stupid that it goes all the way back around to make you question the level of basic intelligence the entire party had to start with.

However did appointed him as the hero.. must have been high, drunk, out of their mind and insane. i don't care if it is a priest, demigod or a god. to CHOOSE THAT scumbag who only thinks about himself and the rest can go to hell.
I hope that his special status can be removed so it can be given to a MORE deserving person. because i can't see him redeem himself.. unless he runs into a dragon's mouth and allow it to chew him to death.. extremely slowly. feck Ares and his ego.

It’s really scary imagining a “what if” for this manga. The author makes it very obvious, imagine getting kidnapped and there’s 40+ tools for torture and keeping you alive while being tortured. But the thing that stands between you and that is flipping a coin for heads or tails. Escape or worst pain you will ever feel. Unironically this story is horror. And no one here can disagree.

Not really how I read that at all. "You have never, not once, called me by my name!" and by the reactions, it seems as though they had known for a while of how he viewed them, but just like with real people it can be hard to confront someone that you are forced to get along with. You have to be able to know when the right time is, otherwise you'll be the asshole for causing the confrontation and have everyone turn on you even if you're the one initially slighted. For them, this is the right time. If they had done it at any time before, it would only spur the "hero" to act even more hastily towards them and he could use it as a reason to turn the kingdom against them.
