I suppose it does, but then again I'm a biochemist and I don't show my gratitude with handouts of petri dishes inoculated with e.coli.
What else are you expecting her to offer him tho? She's got nothing aside from her hot body. In previous chapters she even refused to take help from "detective" bcz she can't afford hiring. :meguu:

Well nobody want petri dishes.
Technically, people do, or they wouldn't be paying me to prepare them. Anyway, I was being facetious because I didn't expect this to be excused, even defended, so matter-of-factly. Yes, gratefulness is one thing, but outright jumping at the assumption that a transactionable commodity be appropriate, even expected, in exchange for the help rendered is another. That's fucked up, and he again did well to dodge that, and not just for whatever consequences Yurea would have had in store for it.

If offering her body is her first idea of showing gratitude, it doesn't take much of a Chad to turn her down. Fishy as fuck. (Pun not intended, but take it as such, if you must.) It's like getting paid in fool's gold.
i mean, compared that to how the mc was at the start of the manga, he would of jumped at the opportunity

I'm surprised you've gone this far in the manga and still held the belief that this manga is even close to real human interaction. I'm not trying to criticise you on the aforementioned topic but this manga have shown throughout it's whole run that it's running on manga logic, nothing more. That's why another user and I tried to "defend" that interaction. It's just par for the course in this manga.

In lore, it's also a game, all the characters that we have encountered so far are NPC beside Yuasa and Hasegawa. So it's both doujin game logic and manga logic.

Yeah, but this can also be used as an excuse. It is .... whatever "x" logic, so it makes sense.

The hallmark of any art, any good art, is that it portrays reality somewhat faithfully. When it starts diverging from reality too much, that is when you start getting these discussions, which are signs in themselves, that the author is doing something wrong.

Or, put in simpler terms: if this is manga logic, or game logic, then these "logics" are crappy.

I agree with your statement. I'm not claiming this manga is good but it is consistent. This comment section is for chapter 64 so unless they dropped the quality regarding logic, I personally don't see it. The first chapter involves Hasegawa attempting to rape someone but then stopped by the police because it violated the game's rule.

Exactly.

Also, manga logic doesn't exist in a vacuum. It's not some fundamental law of nature, some axiom beyond doubt or context. It is a ruleset emergent from the nature of manga being a form of art and a product for human consumption. (Figuratively. Don't actually eat manga.) Meaning, like most forms of art, manga, too, is a reflection of human behaviours, fantasies, desires, and experiences. (Just look at manhwas. Can't read a page (well, scroll a longstrip that makes even the largest toilet roll look like barely half a napkin) without some character being coerced, bullied, raped, or mugged. Evidently, there are issues and people are trying to process them, one way or the other.) So, asserting "Eh, it's manga logic." would be doing this relation a total disservice and is about as productive in the discussion of the issue as answering "God works in mysterious ways" is to the question why there are children dying of AIDS in Africa. (Calm your tits, I'm mentioning this observation merely as an illustration of the "argument from authority" fallacy, not as an argument for or against religion.) So, a world where there's an MC with some superpowers or not, someone who jumps right at offering quantifiable compensation for help, not a service, and in the form of intimacy as currency at that, then something has gone too far with them. "Don't stick your dick in crazy" still applies. Yes, they would need help to get their mental and emotional health back on track, but MC can afford only so much charity and has enough worries of his own to switch to being their psychiatrist or rehab worker.

Seems like the author way too focused in writing some Yurea shit instead of actually progressing the story.
Sigh...

Face it. MC is going to remain virgin whole series.
There will be at most kissing and hand holding.
