Important lesson there. Still some sorting out to do but it could have gone a lot worse.
You have a wrapped sence of love.If you can get rejected and stay around to watch her be with someone else every day, you weren't really in love.
God forbid a girl be gay and want friends. If he never confessed in the end, it would have been a different story but he did and she still wants him to stick around. He had absolutely horrendous thoughts but he never acted on them in a meaningful way. Her on the other hand knows he is in love with him but still needs him around as her emotional tampon. He showed empathy and growth, she had none. She gives zero fucks about how he feels. She gets to have her cake and eat it too. She just needs him around to rely on him for her day to day life. There is nothing bittersweet about this as i don't see this lasting much as they should naturally drift apart over time. Being a third wheel for someone you have a crush on is not at all easy but quick to fix. You stay away.
This is trying to idealize a very toxic and one-sided relationship.
Is this what you could come up with after reading that post? There is nothing wrong about wanting friends or being gay (no idea why you went there like a crackhead) but there is something wrong with acting like everything can stay the same after learning how he feels. She pretty much doesn't give a fuck about how he feels and just wants to continue to rely on him for emotional support. That is fucked up and pretty toxic. That's what i meant when i said she wants to have her cake and eat it too. Regardless, it won't work anyway. He will eventually distance himself in order to stop torturing himself since love is not something you can turn off on a whim. I just hope she understands why he did when the time comes but i won't hold my breath.God forbid a girl be gay and want friends.
The girl doesn't want to fuck her male best friend and instead wants him to remain her best friend. And your dumbass response is calling her toxic. She doesn't want to lose her best friend and you are trying to make her look like the bad guy. Fucking pathetic "nice guy" mentality. Is this what you could come up with after reading that post? wait, why did I just take that in... your completely right... fuck this guy tf 😭What a asshole, didnt even believe thst his friend was a lesbian and probably hoped it was just a phase to get over so he could swoop in. Until someone actual said yes to her and his shitty reality started to crumble. With friends like that who needs enemies.
Yous speaking hypotheticals man but imma need you to slow your roll there for a sec"And then she should fall in love with me"

That is not the point really. It is more so about friendship being seen as lesser or insignificant next to romance. At it's core, he is most afraid of not being "important" to her. And probably due to biases about relationships, especially those between men and women, he thinks that the only way to stay important to each other is if they're romantically involved. Which is a lot of internalized misogyny and homophobia, as he was literally comforted by the fact that his friend is seemingly only interested in women, which "dooms" her to never having her feelings reciprocated, leaving him labouring under the delusion that if he's there for her enough, he'll eventually get to win her as a romantic partner.
Her talking about how he has a place by her side is breaking that preconception in his brain, ensuring that his friendship is valuable even when she's dating someone. Only when he gives up viewing her as only a romantic prospect and instead decides to view her as a person/friend is he finally able to genuinely be happy for his friend when seeing her happy. The oneshot is ultimately about this boy being pulled out of his mindset into one that allows him to actually care for and be happy with the people who are important to him.
