I accidentally ended up here while searching for a completely different foot fetish manga I had previously read. Good thing. I like this one, particularly the art. Ending is kinda eh, but what can you do?

Damn, this makes me so happy and sad at the same time. On one hand, it's about a foot fetish, the MC actually ends up rejecting the bully wife eventually (wish he grew a pair earlier but considering the tradition "do nothing weird" focussed Japanese society it makes sense he didn't) and the girl seems to not be entirely pure either. It also seems to have substance relating to things like shoe making and actually knows what it's talking about

On the other hand, he is a wuss for quite a while, and they have a long going "will they won't they" thing going on as is usual in such media, rather than experiencing anything of the actual substance - the relationship and how they explore it and make it work and what they find about it. And of course it ends right at the good part 😔

On a side note, she Def has a hand fetish. Just because it doesn't make you attracted to everyone with pretty hands or makes you outright gush from seeing them doesn't mean it's not there. Fetishes are gradients in their specificity and intensity

And it very much seems like the whole reason he's that intensely into legs and feet is because he is repressing himself, as is common to do in Japan - no luck with other women, his former wife bullying him, societal pressure, he probably tries to suppress a desire that cannot be suppressed so it finds an outlet whenever the pressure is too much rather than believing said pressure

All in all, I hope to find something good like this one day. Like that one manhwa about a shoe maker and a young lady who eventually finds out he's into feet and does feed into his fetish, the name of which I have forgotten. Hope to see more work from the author
