If I recall, Shirley is less his mom and more or less the woman who is his 'Big Sis' in the brothel he grew up in. She's definitely mothered him after his actual mom died. It's been a few months since I read the raws, so I might be slightly off base, but in the WN she is 100% not his actual mom.

She's also the second most important female in his life as of now.

So, Shirley is a bit weird. She's the slightly older maternal figure in his life, but she's also loved Zaryu in a romantic sense for a while. She's the top earner or among the top, and she's a bit overpowering as a prostitute to the others. Zaryu was basically raised up in a Brothel, and he's well known to this side of the cities prostitutes. Sort of an East vs West thing going on.

Anyway, Shirley is his replacement Mom, Big Sis, and Top Dog in the brothel. She's probably the actual most important female in his life by my own reckoning, particularly in the near future.

So, a lot of prostitutes tend to take herbs and potions to help remove pregnancies for various obvious reasons. Shirley is among them, and if you take them for as long and as often as they do, it can make them barren.

Zaryu's powers don't care if you are taking the equivalent of the morning after every day to have a barren womb.

Out of curiosity in the WN have Zaryu's kids been born yet?

Like his level up system is legit based on how many women he impregnates, so at some point he would become a father possibly by the first girl he slept with or Maria (i think that's her name).

Also if he can impregnate a barren woman!? that's kind of crazy some women would be legit super happy about that.

Just open a "clinic" where his magical sperm can give barren woman kids - if he is fine with making barren women single moms or the mother has a husband and she/he are fine with rising other dude kid just for sake of making the woman happy that she gave birth? Then there would be no issues.

Otherwise he would need to be a rapist or fuck and give kids to women who like him and are fine with getting prego but without him becoming their husband/father for the kids.

The whole premise is intriguing enough to continue reading. Its just updated so rarely - I kinda re-read it each new chapter to remember WTF it is even about .

The brothels made deals that some of prostitutes must use contraceptive and they would be released if they got pregnant.
