A webnovel writer doesn't have the sauce to do this. They don't have the gumption, the audacity. They merely adopted the goon, but mangaka were born in it, molded by it.
To be serious though I think there's a connection between being an artist and having a bit more "nuanced" sexual tastes that might not exist in the same way for writers.
