What happened to the art style in the Taming demonstration page? It looks like it was pulled from a manhua.

Good to see that there is an actual goal? Let's see how the story handles it...

Nice to see a noble who isn’t an ass. I was expecting him to try and steal MCs magic items

I know! He's drawn like a typical shit noble, but actually turns out to be petty reasonable. Didn't try to claim his son was the one to really beat the "orc" or needlessly call the MC worthless. He only pointed out that tamers are seen as weak, and the MC's observations show why that reputation exists.

Even with the reputation that tamers have, he was still willing to give MC a recommendation because he 1) saved his son's life and 2) knows and interesting skill and shows a deep understanding of that skill. He says he'll give his recommendation knowing that he'd get laughed at and possibly hurt his reputation.

It could be out of self interest where he's trying to make the MC feel some form of gratitude towards him (or at least show that helping his family will be rewarded), but it's a hell of a lot better than what we normally get. I can respect that.

If you have good results they will just label you as unique or abnormal. If you want all tamers to be treated better you have to improve a bunch of tamers to be great as well...

So the story is finally starting? I hate when we take 3-5 chapters to get to the premise

Also this art style still feels weird. It’s great during action and fighting scenes, but the rest of the time doesn’t suit the situation well. I also get the feeling it’s setting the tone wrong. Between the art and how dark it is, I feel like I’m reading some gritty, dark, post apocalyptic, battle wasteland series, ALL THE TIME (even when he’s talking to the noble or saying bye to his mom (in the morning), I get the strangest feeling that he should be in depths of hell fighting off hoards of demons). I would say the author might want to revise what art style he uses and for what scenes (if he can), because for a manga (or comic or any illustrated story), the art goes a long way to set the tone and mood) just as much as the dialogue or setting.

Thanks for the chapter, was looking forward to it, this manga looks very good.

Also, read it for the plot, not for the art. Just look at how shitty One Piece and Naruto art is and people love to say how good mangas they are (hint hint, they are not). On the other hand we had Bleach which art got much better overtime... and its also a bad manga.
