Like clockwork, the friend of the female lead shows up to viscously, and unjustly, berate the male lead while maintaining an unhealthy obsession with her friend. I don't get why mangaka put these kinds of characters in their romance manga, or why some readers not only tolerate it, but also encourage it. It's like they want to see some yuri fanservice added to the manga, but they don't want to read any shoujo-ai/yuri manga.
