Are they that really dumbasses? Isnt liam known as the pirate hunter?? Also he has the record to back it up no?? They think giving him more pirates to prey on would answer the problems they are having?? Its like putting more gas on a burning flame. Speaking of, its hilarious how his escort are just giving liam more enemies to kill, best supports

It skipped over some details, but those pirates were given a bunch of state-of-the-art mechs to work with, so they thought they had a chance.
....they didn't.
Liam's thoughts on those mechs were "hey these are a bit crunchier than usual!"
