The joke is he thinks he's evil but is less evil and more reasonable than those around him. It has been and will continue to be the primary gag of this primarly comedy manga, if you don't like that you may want to read a differant manga.

To be fair, manga does a pretty bad job showing Liam's retarded thought processes and his trauma concerning woman. That's why there is so many jokes about him coming across as super gay. He is obviously on the spectrum as well. And author (being the dumbfuck he is) made it worse with his yaoi retardation. You'd think he learned his lesson while writing mobuseka but apparently not.

According to what people said in this thread (if I landed in the right chapter), is that the LN doesn't have the fujoshi that strongly, or, at all. It's much more prominent in the manga adaptation.
So, if anything, I guess we should all learn that whoever adapts manga, can just do fuck all, apparently.

None of them are what I would call ideal, but they are... functional.

This thread has become a mess firstly there is nothing wrong with hating a MC but still reading the series there are a lot of series with bad MCs but fantastic side cast characters. Also some people who read series with an MC they don't like hope they get better.

Also I don't agree with ToonJay over his opinion on the MC at all but its good to hear other perspectives but I feel there is a lot of misunderstandings about the MC and trauma in general. Trauma depending on what it is can mess your mind and life up permanently to the point you won't have a reasonable perspective ever again. Recovery is a long road and not everyone makes it that is why the author made it clear at the start where their resentment and trauma comes from.

Also to the comment asking to pull the gender reverse card and see how people would feel then. Well put it this way would most people angry in this thread still be angry at the MC if they were female with a reverse harem? The clumsy nature of his shows that the MC Liam is a good person at heart who constantly struggles with the need for vengeance for his past self. If people understand this and still criticise Liam then its fine as long as its understood who he is and what he stands for. Also from what I have read the MC isn't actually oblivious more like he has a mental block to protect himself from past mistakes so he subconciously keeps his distance.

As for the final topic involving the spoiler that another commenter on here said was stupid clearly you never been or seen someone in love before it makes plenty of sense in context. Do you have a reason why you object to the spoiler? However I checked online not only does this spoiler happen the next arc will be focusing on it and they are never going back either. Best girl incoming. Personally i think it will be hilarious to see how the sister reacts once they join the harem with her.

The fujo friend is in tbe LNs, but is not present in the WNs, and even in LNs she doesn't really have much plot relevance outside a a small arc where she took over the empire police to eradicate the drug source while replacing it with an underground fujo market

I have a recommendation: Legend.

This manga is a great one: it has a solid MC that isn't a milquetoast effeminate and is capable of throwing down with melee or magic, a beautiful female lead cursed with no flaws or "rivals" solely because she looks the way she does, and a detailed world with political intrigue, to name a few good things. There's also Set. How many gryphons do you know of that are cool enough to have their own fan clubs? In-story, of course.

Unfortunately, Project Time threw in the towel, having done a good job up until chapter 95. Even more unfortunately, it was picked up once it came off hiatus by some aggregator/"scanlator" called "Manhwafreak" or something (they all have similar names) that did nothing but poor-quality translations (according to others) and watermarking pages (which I've seen myself). The manga's as great as I said, and deserves better than that. If you would pick this manga up, start from 96--Manhwa-whatever's stuff isn't worth the bandwidth.
