It's made for kids is why. They gotta have that "crushing" on someone vibe and "embarrassing" moments to relate. As an adult I look at people having a "crush" and my advice is always "you're wasting your time and building up a fantasy the longer you wait." Of course, half these series are about that same topic with random other girls showing up and causing drama, but yeah, made for young teens so dumb shit happens.

The thing is, we're only on chapter 21, which means the story is just getting started, and the MC and FMC are already almost dating. So, I think the author’s gonna have to throw something in to slow down their relationship and add some drama. My guess is, when the MC finds out the FMC’s been deceiving him all this time, he’s gonna be shocked, and that’s what’ll cause them to drift apart.
