For people who commented why doesn't she confess first?
Well... That's just how society is... Especially in more reserved cultures.

In the West sure its becoming a lot more normal for women to go for it first (except for media where men are still shown mostly taking the lead) but if you removed North America and Europe its just more normal for the man to fess up. ESPECIALLY in the East.
The pattern we see today is the product of thousands of years of social, cultural, and biological evolution. It's changing. But still there.
