Though I'm still not letting my guard down, I suspect this story will pull a Cerebus Syndrome moment soon.

Cerebus Syndrome=When a light hearted story suddenly takes a dark turn.

My prediction is that the main threat will not be the magical side, it will be the RL goverment when they find out it IS possible to travel to the magical world.

They may try to kidnap the mage girl as she is the key to allowing the modern world to invade the magical world.

Looking at the raws, he looks like a big asshole who thinks he can do whatever he wants. I thought he'd be more open minded, kind, polite, just like his sister. But I guess not.

Yep, I saw this coming... brother is either a Giant Douche or a Brocon and not even going to consider Chris' thoughts on the matter.
I keep thinking there had to be a better way to break the news to them and yet I can't think of any other way to get Chris' current situation across without the brother causing a scene.
The fact that the Brother keeps insisting on getting back means he at least is confident they can all go back somehow, yet I doubt the little mage girl is ready for it. Didn't they mention that the mana levels on earth were low to begin with? They might be able to get back, but probably will take a lot longer than they imagine it would.

And in the beginning I thought BiL did really well. He didn't challange the metaldragon, but identified it as a traveldevice, he was cautious of grandpa (all he knew he totally could have been a danger), but didn't turn that meeting into a hack'n'slash-fest. Overall cautious, but also openminded. He did really well, until...

I get why he was hostile ("My little baby-sis has to be protected from this man."), but why was he hostile BEFORE he knew about the marriage? Directly afterward, after Chris splashes that fact into his face, okay. But before all he saw was a happy and health surviving Chris, being well so far, and a man, she felt relexed around. First thing is of course treatening and insulting him. I see why mage girl isn't in a relationship with him, eventhough they have traveled the other world together. Stay away. That's a red flag to avoid.

Though going in, snagging the price and going out is a praiseworthy strategy. Maximaizing the gain of the mission, while minimizing all possible threats. Yet he still should listen to his sis.

Yeah he's past siscon, I get the feeling he'd put her in a sex dungeon if he could. I feel like this part has been writen to be more dramatic? Like I get being suprised but to then actively dismiss what your sister is saying to insult her husband and assuming the rules of your world apply in another is just... yeah.
