Yeah I will just expect a grim dark nihilistic ending by default.
as long as it feels like it resolves the stories of the characters involved.

"happy or sad" matters less in cases like this, I think. If anything, this manga reaching an ending like the title Kuroko was reading at the start, would almost feel cheap because of everything up to this point.
I can't decide on what a "good" ending would look like at this point, but sunshine and daisies would be jarring, in my mind.

lol wonder if author referenced princess knight or another existing classic shoujo

title name drop (kinda) how close is this to finishing, i wonder

Always the idol industry...shame the police are useless

That said, given the mistreatment and stress, i'm surprised she'd still look 'attractive' as opposed to like age 10x faster and such but i guess there wouldn't be a story if she couldn't 'lure' someone like Gomi

Don't expect a happy ending from this author:nyoron:

I mean 'even if i'm not 15 anymore' sorta had a happy ending for the girl there, as much as you can be for a single mother

She did nothing wrong..... it's the adults fault for her demise stories like these which reminds me why we should exterminate the scums of society honestly this made me depressed a bit coz it reminds me of 177013

No one said it was her fault???????? I agree that everyone around her failed but the same time when you are an adult is when you get the therapy you need for trauma. Sadly, Japan and many places in society look down on you if you get therapy

Both this manga and Kimi ni Aisarete Itakatta do this curious thing where they juxtapose their gritty and grimy narrative against narratives or visual tropes inspired by stereotypes of shoujo manga, in a way that almost mocks the latter-- and I find it really interesting. This chapter has a healthy deal of artistic variation-- I wonder if the author had an assistant draw up that throwaway shoujo manga at the beginning.

fucking called it that she had those kinks from trauma..... just wish it was from when she was an adult and not 14......
It wouldn't be any better if she was an adult...

ok i bust out laughing at page 17 i dont know why LMAO
Is it because yet another man is throwing haymakers at Kuroko like he's the damn Attack Titan?

What is with these people and their intense-as-hell punches? Committing domestic violence like the world is staked on whether or not they can force her to un-have her lunch?

Women in this manga always got beaten up while the dudes were having fun. I checked the author's other work, and it's the same (women got violated plot)...
That guy stopped having fun real quick-- it's been a while but I don't even think he ever had fun

Still dont really understand why she took the pills last chapter. She got away from ugly bastard. Gomi clearly still wanted her. But then she went schizo mode and took the pills. Like I could understand that action if Gomi said something like "After hearing your past I want nothing to do with you", then I could understand her freaking out like that. But its like she did this in a neutral state of her relationship with Gomi.

Gomi seems like he would gladly be her knight in shining armor. (Provided he doesnt have the fight her husband for reals)

Actually question, her husband right now is not the same guy in the flashback right? They look too different right? Assuming if yes, kinda want to see how she got with the husband

A bad ending is likely, but it will be nice if therapy and genuine support can help her to face her trauma even if it takes years and the trauma never completely gone.

No, I am not on copium.

i can't believe she helping mother who abandoned him.
It's kinda like her abusive partners - her mother is so awful that she cherishes any scraps her mom throws her way.

He might be - if she was 14 when she got with him then it's been like 10 years, and he looks kinda like Gomi (and Nasatsu?)-and they all look like the prince in her manga-and 29->39 tends to be when aging starts really kicking in. Or he's who picked her up to "rescue her" from the guy in the flashback.

I think it's kinda comparable to the way Gomi hides in rape hentai instead of working through his feelings of powerlesness. I'm a huge fan of shoujo & I read Kuroko's obsession as a kinda security blanket fantasy she's holding on to.
