At most MC would have been accused to excessive self defense so why are they running away :questionblob:
Especially when husbands abuse is well known in the building
Well, this is debatable coz Japanese laws about self-defense are pretty tough (as chatgpt says). If Moyupu had relatives they would want the maximum punishment for Gomi.

Bali arc...damn it, Nosebleed, you got me again)

Honestly, I kinda predicted this turn. That Gomi is the type that would prefer to turn himself in. And that she will persuade him to run away

In Japan, self-defense is practically never justification for killing someone in the vast majority of cases.
You can only use necessary and proportional strength to save yourself or others from imminent danger. You are not supposed to fight back unless necessary to get away and you are absolutely not supposed to use lethal force.
You can easily land in jail for manslaughter for doing what Gomi did, especially because it's easily proven that it was voluntary (marks on neck), not involuntary.

Well damn... they took turns stabbing the body. Little did they know forensic can tell those are dealt after the fact.

Anyway, how can two people with barely any money afford to live abroad? You can go to somewhere cheap but you will still need to find a source of income. Kuroko also has a mother she still need to take care of.

I feel like had they just called the police, they might be able to get away with just a self defense charge. Seems like their whole building knows how violent the husband is, and there are likely enough evidence to support a very strong self defense case. If anything, the additional stabbings may work against their favor as they may be considered as unnecessary force.

Onto the next chapter I guess.
