I feel like its a setup for even more curveballs, moyupu might actually be dead and the police stopped the media from disclosing his death in order to make Yumezora panic, Gomi isnt even remotely mentioned in that article lmao

Gomi not being mentioned could be explained that no one knew he was even there. It's Yumezora's neighbor who was concerned that the husband beat Yumezora again, she asked for the key, went into Yumezora's home and found the husband (seemingly) dead. Yumezora who is nowhere to be found is most likely the primary and only suspect. The neighbor doesn't even know about Yumezora's secret affair with her coworker, so she wouldn't be able to point that out to police who'll just go for the primary suspect. Moyupu would have to wake up, reveal about Gomi to someone before he dies.

Wow, that didn't take long. Happy to see the husband is still alive, for all his faults, his wife is who destroyed him mentally and morally. FMC and MC are about to have a rough couple of days now that everything is falling apart, and their romantic getaway is nothing but a fantasy. I'm here for it.
It's your fault I'm abusing you!

God this manga is absolute garbage, the start is outright disgusting, the part where shes into it makes me sick, and out of all that we throw in some good old domestic abuse.

This shit is absolute fucking ass.

lol. She's not into the period blood thing per se, her initial disgust is real disgust, she also reports it to her abusive husband before she realizes the branch-swinging potential to escape the marriage she is becoming bored with (she has a shitty attitude toward Gomi at work for like a month until she suddenly doesn't). She even says in an earlier chapter, after being raped by her husband (probably not the first time) that she has realized marriage isn't her thing and she wants out. I think that scene was either a flashback or something similar to before her attitude shift toward Gomi where she started acting pleasant toward him again, and was the catalyst toward her suddenly being kind to him again - probably realizing that she and her husband are not "better" than Gomi and he is just another person perfectly within her "league" so to speak. He is just another "insect" like they are (her diatribe against "insects" early in the manga, on reflection, is a self-hate narrative).

She realized she's into Gomi because of who and what he is (completely busted, skewed morals - she doesn't think she deserves high morality men). She remarks that he's "just her type" because he "breaks" (gets completely invested in her) after having sex with her just one time, which really gets her off mentally. Sex is how she controls and manipulates men, something she learned to do as a teenager to survive on the streets, and she's never actually been in love until Gomi somehow breaks through and makes her feel a real connection with him. Though this isn't portrayed very well in the narrative, upon closer examination that is exactly what happens, because otherwise she wouldn't try to mask his murder attempt on her husband by contaminating her husband with her own DNA on a separate knife of her own she uses to stab him and mask the stab wounds made by Gomi's boxcutter. As the narrative makes a huge effort to portray: She's an insect just as much as Gomi is - she wouldn't shield someone or sacrifice herself for someone she didn't have a deep connection with that overrode her "insect" instincts to survive and protect herself.
