Just like not every painting is a pot of flowers on a summery day, not every manga is a wholesome easygoing school romance or a comedic action shonen. Some artists want to draw positive things, and some artists want to draw negative things. This does not mean the negative art is bad art. Broaden your horizons, and come at this with a different point of view.
