The people immediately rating it 1 and commenting about how vile and abhorrent the manga is and how disgusting the author must be are not viewing the manga as it is intended to be read. It is very obviously not supposed to be the romantic ecchi slice of life you are approaching it as. It is a painfully realistic delve into the mind of a lonely and twisted individual. It is not supposed to make anyone feel good or happy. It is supposed to be thought-provoking, making you cringe and feel disgusted, and yet fascinated. It's not gross fetish fulfilment, it's reality. For that, I commend the author, who is succeeding. Just like not every painting is a pot of flowers on a summery day, not every manga is a wholesome easygoing school romance or a comedic action shonen. Some artists want to draw positive things, and some artists want to draw negative things. This does not mean the negative art is bad art. Broaden your horizons, and come at this with a different point of view.
