I was suggesting to
@Rengar that anime adaptations don't shy away from anything hentai or was made by someone involved with hentai
Air and Kanon aren't yuri games
Clannad is from from the same company that made those said games
there was a certain period when many visual novels with +18 sexual content were getting anime adaptations (e.g. To Heart, Utawarerumono, Fate/Stay Night, Grisaia no Kajitsu)
they tend to have a male main character and a harem setting
of course, the +18 content were taken out, but some adaptations really went to the limit with what they can show on TV (e.g. School Days)
