You are right and your fears are actually well founded.
As for incel? It's hard to describe i've read it meant involuntary celibate but that's furthest from what people use it for.
I've been called an incel for speaking facts/anecdotes and science paper results. It's like you must butt lick one gender and when you speak about something against it you automatically categorized by those words like misogynist/sexist/incel.

For example many "incel" want to have women with less body counts, for example having 10 when you are 20y old is quite high in my opinion. It was even proven empirically that it is bad and also based on common sense of how our memory works it's bad.
Most say incels want virgins, but in my internet experience i've seen 1(2) guy claiming that whilst 9(8) other not claiming that but still are being called incels for having preference for someone who didn't sleep around much. (By the way those papers state it affects both genders, it just affects males on a bit smaller scale, as for memory? It's universal for both genders)

And to return to your first 2 sentences. Hateful "incel/redpill" rhetoric will continue to grow if we don't find a practical way to pacify the conflict. Currently there is imbalance in law, social rules, female vs male population(more guys) and even income inequality skewed towards women who are pre-child phase.
Those problems aren't being resolved and we have too many of them which creates large cohorts of men who had negative experience. It's enough for one black guy to mug you to make you a racist and with the same analogy it's enough for one woman to hurt you in order for you to become a misogynist. Hell, it's even enough for some minorities to hate majority for a simple administrative mistake, they start to assume that it happened because they are XYZ and it's a reason enough to start breeding the idea of hate towards someone.

Usually you need more offences against you but in some cases it's enough even one time. For example women cheat more than guys until ages 30-35 (depends on country). And the guy who was cheated on has a problem with mate selection so he always finds same kind of women who cheat on him after 2nd or 3rd time he will either acquire Zen state of mind or more likely come to hate women.
Actually you might find it interesting maybe but there are as many misogynist as misandrists (those who hate men). And guess what? For the same freaking reasons.

The manga is great, but there's one problem: the author doesn't really specify their relationship. For example, when their first kiss happens, the protagonist says it's his first kiss, but doesn't say or mention that it was her first kiss too. I found it a bit strange.
If the two shared their first kiss together, it would have been great to see, the author missed the opportunity...
