He's clearly getting worse. Inaction on romantic feelings is one thing, but slapping her hand away counts as a violent outburst to me. Even if it was just a little slap on the hand, this guy technically, physically hurt his love interest. I like Kiyoka the most in this manga, so this only works to make me dislike the protagonist instead of be ambivalent about him.
