So the hero has an evil character but he isn't a buffoon, that's refreshing I guess. I could imagine a different story where instead of sacrificing MC he sacrifices one of the other party members or even a story where he knows MC is OP and secretly assassinates MC's friends while trying to capture MC for his own party.

The evil hero is the most well-developed character in this story... MC is gonna have to step up his game.

Oh bullshit. All the MC did was enhance the durability of their equipment? That doesn't mean that they're weak without him, it just means that their gear isn't as durable. They're still extremely powerful. And we're to believe that they never got better equipment? If durability is all there is to it, then these guys are actually much more powerful than a normal S-rank party since they've achieved that with shit equipment with nothing special about it.

First of all, this is why Japanese are getting extinct by the hour: bunch of beta p*ssies who are nothing but doormats. Their characters are just a reflection of their society.

This is so frigging random ROFL And here I was thinking it could be better after chapter 2!

Sorry if it looks rude to mention here, but go read Yuusha Party wo Oidasareta Kiyoubinbou instead, if you want some light "revenge" arc; is slightly above average, there seems to be a greater plot worth reading into, and more importantly, at the very least MC does have some pride.
