In my opinion this manga is just a copy of another specific manga but with an inferior story, despite disagreeing with another comment from the user above the MC could have more personality and story is generic (and look, I like generic things but when it's something totally soulless even me can't stand it), and the betrayal of the MC's group didn't make much sense to be honest.(Also the fact that a lot of chapters are missing on this site is kinda dope)

People have their own tastes bro, Not every MC needs to be an edgy overpower or something.
i don't remember this at all lmao so i skimmed some
but you don't need to be edgy or OP to know self-respect and to stop others from badmouthing you.

that's why i emphasized kind because it looks to me that not defending yourself, and tolerating other's bullshit is considered being kind and that's just plain manipulation.
hence the ew above since it's literal disgusting that the author is portraying that that kind of bs behavior is good.

Just to expand on my "it's trash" comment because I should at least give a fair review:

The intro chapter is basically every single "I got kicked out of the party by jackasses for being 'useless' but it turns out not only am I super OP but even the menial stuff was necessary/vital" trope shoved into one chapter except for immediately having the incoming hero or the other male party member creepily and obviously lust over the girls in the party. Even the tropes that can't coexist were there at the same time making things completely nonsensical (like the one girl who is obviously the closest friend going from resisting kicking him out to willingly going along with it, to outwardly hating him for arbitrary stupid reasons to willingly abandoning him to die with the most meaningless barely-an-apology possible. She changes her mind so quickly and so completely that it's hard to believe you're reading the same character the whole way through.)

The other guy in the party is of course an asshole
The one other girl is of course a fickle, shallow, selfish jerk
The hero that joins up is of course such a massive and obvious tool that there's no way he'd be able to function in a society that is (as these things are) a hybrid of romanticized feudal europe crossed with Japanese sensibilities where outward behavior and respect/etc are necessary to the extreme
The MC is a total doormat who never once even attempts to explain himself when the others dump on him for shortsighted reasons
He ultimately holds no grudge for their obviously over-the-top jerk behavior because forgiveness is the most divine of behaviors

It's junk. It's paint-by-numbers for these sorts of plots and can't even find a focused, coherent way to do that. There's like a billion other generic-ish kicked-out-of-the-party series for people to read that at least find a lane to fit into in their bland mediocrity. And that makes them a thousand times more engaging to read than the one chapter of this that I went through.

I agree in concept, but it is worth remembering that this is a Japanese work. That sort of mindset, of brushing off anything you can, being a doormat who doesn't rock the boat, valuing others and the group more than yourself, and and of internalizing other peoples' criticisms/dislike/abuse of you as your fault and necessitating you changing to fix it is normal and accepted/expected there. Obviously not to this degree because this is a silly melodrama manga but you are generally expected to take the abuse of your "betters" with quite grace and good humor because standing up for yourself to the detriment of others is seen as selfish and inappropriate.

As for the 7 star ranking, it's probably just because peoples' voting habits are mostly ass. Instead of viewing the scale as 5 being average, 10 being great, and 1 being trash, most people have been calibrated by the way grading systems get abused to think that 7 is mediocre and everything below it is awful.

Generally speaking on here if I see something rated less than 7.6 I figure that the consensus is "it's kinda bad but mostly ok". If it dips into the 6s it's usually really bad, and if it falls below that then it must be irredeemably awful.

It's stupid and I wish people would figure out how to use those scales properly so we can get better and more nuanced actual grades, but it is what it is.

Yeah I agree with that, the protagonist was literally left to die and when he found his original group he as like "haha it's ok" it's just feel that he literally don't care for nothing but if that's was the case he wouldn't even be an adventurer to begin with

This is the trashiest series I've read in a long time. Every bad trope I can think of. Betrayal, worthless class is actually broken, slave romantic interest, punching bag mc.

As others have said, this is a kind of soulless rehash of your typical "kicked from the party but I'm actually OP" story. It borrows a ton of plot beats from other stories without really figuring out how to make them work, and ends up being pretty unsatisfying even if you just wanted a generic fantasy romp.

The one good thing is the Fenrir, who makes a decent comic-relief character.

I think it would be unfair to call it awful; I've certainly read series that do a much worse job of telling this story. But I did find it too uninteresting to keep going after the first arc.

Damn, this series sucks. 1/10. It literally has nothing going for it at all.

It's almost impressive how irredeemably awful this is.

edit: Wow 45 people gave this series a 10 star rating. What the hell. I get that taste is subjective, but c'mon I dont think anyone who has actually read this can say that this is a masterpiece in any way.

I will grant that having continued to read after the first chapter out of morbid curiosity it does get better. As soon as they move past the hero party stuff and the MC sets off on his own it moves from being total garbage to merely being blandly formulaic. It's probably not worth enduring the dumpster of flaming tires that is that opening act but it does at least get a little better.

Clearly not 10/10 better, but maybe it goes from 1 or 2 out of 10 in the opening to something more like a 7 out of 10 on the later stuff. So on the whole it probably averages to 4 or 5.

A solid 4. I've read worse but at the same time its slightly subpar from a mediocre story

Terrible for the most part, following the 'the weakest member is really the strongest' trope and its weirder cause its treated as if everyone knows this fact except the party and the MC, until ten minutes later when the MC suddenly becomes a swords master.

Oh and he casually tames a bunch of loli ant girls for some reason.

The only real redeeming traits is the MC finds the time to be a prankster, which was genuinely funny.

Ehh not the worst but you can get strong indications of what era the author was born in by looking at the art and dialog. It's reminiscent of JRPG's in terms of dialog (you'll understand the moment you see the guild master and further npc's down the line), and I swear I'm just reading a advertisement for something.

Honestly this is worth the low 7 or high 6 stars cause it has qualities that make it better than the average 6, but it certainly ain't a 8. If you don't believe me, read any chinese work; there's a high chance it's worse than this
